Nitro Adapted for Swathing

Our 36 foot Honeybee harvesting fronts have been adapted to fit our Nitro self propelled sprayer. It is a quick attach setup which allows the Nitro to change between its spraying boom and the Honeybee relatively easily.

The Honeybee has a spray boom attached to the rear of the front so that green areas of ryegrass can be sprayed when swathing canola.

The high clearance of the Nitro allows swathing to be done comfortably between 10 and 12 km's per hour

Seeding bar (Glenvar Bar Twining System)

The Glenvar seeding bars are purpose built bars with high clearance and no wheels underneath the bar but at the rear and the front. They have three rows of tines at 14 inch spacings with a walker double disc opener 2.5 inches either side of the tine.

The walker discs are a parallelogram setup with depth controlled by the press wheel which gives very accurate seed placement. The paddock is left furrowed with  the seeded rows coming up in the bottom of the furrows . This gives good water harvesting on only small rainfall events.

Fieldbin Road Train

To cut down on the need for small tractors at harvest we have begun changing our field bins to hydraulic drive. These are then linked in tandem and driven by a Caterpillar 95E. This gives in paddock storage of 200 tonnes for each tractor. Setup and design of the bins was done by Trufab engineering in Cunderdin, Western Australia.
